On 26 March 2025, the George Mason chapter held a dinner meeting at the Arlington-Fairfax Elk’s Lodge where we inducted a new member, approved the annual chapter budget, and received a presentation on restoring the Halley Cemetery in Fairfax County as an opportunity for a joint project in partnership with a local DAR chapter, after which we then voted to embark on this activity.

On 3 May 2025, representatives of the George Mason chapter attended a dedication ceremony in Lorton, VA, at the cemetery marker of Revolutionary War Patriot Major William Lindsay.  This was an event joint with several local DAR chapters that were co-sponsors.  A brief summary of Major Lindsay’s patriotic service and his home called Laurel Hill is described in an Eagle project documentary that is posted on our George Mason Chapter website.

On 21 May 2025, the George Mason chapter held a dinner meeting at the Army-Navy Country Club to induct a new member, present an SAR Military Service Medal and Certificate to a worthy recipient, and hear a presentation on “The Shot Heard Round the World – Battle of Lexington & Concord” of the Revolutionary War.
