Patriot Ancestor: Samuel Chamberlain

Samuel Chamberlain was born July 18, 1734, in Holliston, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

He married Margaret Atwood Bullard on May 13, 1755, in Mendon, Wooster County, Massachusetts.  They had two children: A daughter, Rhoda (Chamberlain) Sage, born November 21, 1760, and a son, Samuel Clark Chamberlain, born May 25, 1765.

Samuel Chamberlain enlisted in the Massachusetts Regiment of the Continental Army for three years from Berkshire County, Massachusetts.  He served in 1777-1778 in Valley Forge as a private in Captain Enos Stone’s Company, Samuel Brewer’s Regiment.

Samuel Chamberlain relocated to Colebrook, Litchfield County, Connecticut, and died there after 1792.
