The George Mason Chapter, Virginia Society, Sons of the American Revolution cordially invites you to our May Chapter Meeting, featuring guest speaker Tom Moore.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Arlington-Fairfax Elks Lodge, 8421 Arlington Boulevard (Route 50), Fairfax, Virginia, 22031.
The social gathering will commence as is our tradition at 6:30 PM with dinner to follow at 7 PM. The cost is $25 per person, which you may pay online in advance via PayPal to [email protected], or in person at the event.

Guest Speaker Tom Moore is the Principal Officer For Major Gifts with the Civil War Trust/Campaign 1776. His topic will be “Preserving Revolutionary War Battlefields.”
Tom Moore was born in Charlottesville and raised in North Carolina. His roots in North and South Carolina go back to Colonial Days. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in History, concentrating in U.S. Military History. Prior to joining the Civil War Trust in 2017, he enjoyed a varied business career with work in banking, manufacturing, and investment management. He was a Civil War Reenactor for 20 years serving as a Color Corporal with the 26th North Carolina Troops Reactivated, and was an extra in the movie Gods and Generals. At the Trust, Tom serves as the Principal Officer for Major Gifts, working with donors interested in helping preserve the hallowed ground of Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefields. He currently lives outside Middleburg where he enjoys exploring the rich history of the area.
