The next Chapter Meeting will be at the Elk’s Lodge on October 16. The scheduled guest speaker is Mr. Scott M. Stroh III. Mr. Stroh is the Executive Director of Gunston Hall, the museum and ca. 1755 home of patriot George Mason. A proven museum professional, Mr. Stroh’s experience includes Executive Directorship of the Milwaukee County Historical Society; Director and State Historical Preservation Officer, Florida Division of Historical Resources; Executive Director of the Roanoke Island Commission; and Curator of Historical Spanish Point, Osprey, Florida. Mr. Stroh currently serves as Secretary of the American Association for State and Local History, the nation’s premier professional organization representing history museums and historic sites. He will speak about George Mason.
